A SOUL CENTRIC STORY

Dusti and Jenna met in 2011 while attending school for Massage Therapy and Energy Healing. The two quickly formed a deep bond that would continue to grow over the course of their education.  During their 1,000+ hr program through East West School of Integrative Healing Arts, their first shared dream was formed. Upon graduation and state licensing in 2012, that dream came to fruition when Dusti and Jenna founded Soul Centric (providing Massage Therapy, Energy Healing & Yoga to the corridor area).

MEET DUSTI & JENNA

DUSTI DALTON (OWNER, LMT & REIKI PRACTITIONER)

Dusti is a graduate of Iowa State University with a B.S. in Family Services and a graduate of East West School of Integrative Healing Arts 1,000+ hour program. Upon completion of her program through East West, Dusti obtained her Iowa State Massage Therapy License and Master Reiki Practitioner certificate in 2012. For the twelve years before attending East West, Dusti dedicated her life to helping others develop skills in stress management, self-control, communication, team-work, leadership, goal setting, adaptability, and improve self-esteem.

Dusti strongly believes in the power of touch, and enjoys incorporating acupressure and energy healing into her massage sessions for optimal relaxation of the body and mind. Her career in the Healing Arts has allowed Dusti to expand upon her knowledge of the connectedness of the human mind and body. She provides a safe and relaxing environment for others to become more emotionally grounded and physically aligned.

In her life outside of Soul Centric and helping others reach greater wellness, Dusti loves the outdoors, running, spending time with her husband, friends and family, and is a huge lover of puzzles, books, and music. Dusti relates her massage and energy work to music in that it is flowing, connected, and affects people in different ways.

As quoted by one of Dusti’s longtime favorite musicians, Eddie Vedder,

“I think music is the greatest art form that exists, and I think people listen to music for different reasons, and it serves different purposes. The best songs are the ones that make you feel something.”

Dusti loves the healing arts and hopes that she too can have an impact on her clients the way music does through creating a space for them to begin their healing journey.

Jenna Davis (OWNER, LMT, REIKI PRACTITIONER, YOGA INSTRUCTOR)

Jenna is a graduate of Kirkwood Community College where she focussed her studies on humanities and fine arts. In 2011, Jenna stepped into new art forms at East West School of Integrative Healing Arts. In 2012, she graduated from her program at East West, obtained her Iowa State Massage Therapy License and completed her first Yoga Teacher Training.

Jenna is passionate about the transformative power nurtured and grown through the practices of Body Work/Touch Therapy, Energy Healing, and Yoga. Having personally experienced how these practices hold space for deep individual healing, growth and empowerment, Jenna finds great honor and fulfillment in sharing them with others.

Jenna enjoys sharing the power of these practices with others by working with clients to create self care plans that are individualized and integrative in nature. Jenna believes that when we are given the space and guidance to connect more deeply and compassionately with self, we begin to experience life with more comfort and ease in our physical, mental and energetic bodies. Finding our home with in the self gives roots for more mindfulness, gratitude, and authenticity to grow. Jenna is inspired by how far the ripple effect of our own individual healing and wellness can reach. She is honored to stand witness to the healing and expansion her clients discover as they establish wellness practices of their own.

Outside of her work in holistic wellness, Jenna has a deep love for music, art (creating and experiencing), being outdoors, gardening, traveling, reading, cooking, dancing to whatever moves her, practicing yoga in random places, building community, dreaming and spending time with her husband, their 4 children, family and friends.
